Protection of Personal Information (POPIA) Statement
At Exigent Engineering Consultants CC, we are committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of all Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs), stakeholders, clients, consultants, and members of the public in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

Personal information may be collected during Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes, Public Participation Processes (PPP), stakeholder engagement activities, project registrations, correspondence, and other related environmental authorisation processes. Such information may include:
• Name and surname;
• Contact details (telephone number and email address);
• Physical or postal address;
• Organisation or property ownership details; and
• Comments, objections, or submissions provided during participation processes.
Purpose of Processing Information
The personal information collected by Exigent Engineering Consultants CC will only be used for lawful and relevant purposes, including:
• Registering stakeholders and Interested and Affected Parties;
• Providing project notifications and updates;
• Recording and responding to comments received;
• Compliance with environmental legislation and regulatory requirements;
• Communication with competent authorities and project stakeholders; and
• Maintaining project records and participation databases.
Confidentiality and Protection of Information
Exigent Engineering Consultants CC undertakes to:
• Process personal information lawfully and transparently;
• Take reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, or alteration;

Information will not be sold or unlawfully distributed to third parties.
Rights of Data Subjects
In terms of POPIA, all individuals have the right to:
• Request access to their personal information;
• Request correction or deletion of personal information where applicable;
• Object to the processing of personal information under certain circumstances; and
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

By registering as an Interested and Affected Party, submitting comments, corresponding with Exigent Engineering Consultants CC, or participating in any public participation process, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information for purposes related to the applicable environmental process.
